We are excited to reveal our Women’s training squad, ready to take on the Championship campaign in 2025.
It’s the second under Head Coach, Mike Grady, who will be looking to go that one step further after a promising first season in charge.
In 2024, our girls enjoyed a successful campaign, where they finished third and booked a spot in the playoffs. Despite a narrow loss to Sheffield Eagles in the semi-final, it was certainly a year of progression.
After an extensive trial process, Grady and his coaching team have identified a mixture of talent that can take his team to the next level.
All the squad retains the same ambition of returning to the top division of Women’s rugby – the Super League.
Building on the already strong foundations, familiar faces from the Women’s Super League have joined the fold, adding experience and quality to the playing group.
On selecting his training squad for 2025, Head Coach, Mike Grady has said: “I’m really pleased with the squad we have currently assembled.
“We have tried to build on last year by adding some experienced players from Super League, some returning faces, and some quality young players too.
“There have been several Super League clubs interested in players that played here last year, but for them to opt to stay at Salford is fantastic for us as a club, as they can see and believe in what we are doing.
“There are potentially a few more to come in, but for now, I’m extremely happy with what we have and how well pre-season is going so far.”
