Willows Wall | Malcolm Alker named at Hooker

Malcolm Alker becomes the first player not from the 1970’s Championship winning sides to be named in the ‘Willows Wall’ Heritage Team.
Alker made 292 appearances for Salford Red Devils between 1997 and 2010 and was a one-club man throughout his professional Rugby League career.
The hooker was an integral part of the Red Devils throughout the 2000’s and his performances even earned him international recognition appearing for England on two occasions. Alker also represented Lancashire in 2002.
Alker captained Salford at 21-years-old in 2000 and would go on to become the full-time captain of the Club.
