Red Devils Head Coach Ian Watson has confirmed that Josh Jones and Ben Murdoch-Masila are set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up injuries in Sunday’s friendly win over Rochdale Hornets.
Murdoch-Masila limped from the field after just three minutes and is undergoing a scan today.
“It is something we need to get checked out for Ben and we won’t know more until his scan results come back.” Watson said.
“Josh is looking like maybe six weeks out with a fracture in his hand. He doesn’t know when he did it but we sent him for an X-Ray and it revealed the extent of the damage.
“It’s unfortunate but you have to have to play these games in order to be ready for the season.”
The Red Devils take on Halifax next Sunday in the Colin Dixon Memorial Trophy.
