Salford Red Devils can confirm that Tui Lolohea has left the club to join Huddersfield Giants.
The Tongan arrived at the The Salford Stadium in 2019 on loan from Leeds Rhinos, helping Salford reach our first ever Betfred Super League Grand Final during his first season at the club.
Lolohea signed permanently ahead of the 2020 campaign and was part of the Salford side that took the club to its first Betfred Challenge Cup Final in 51 years.
The 26-year-old made 55 appearances for Salford, scoring 14 tries.
Speaking on his time at Salford, Lolohea said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Salford and have nothing but great memories. I’ve been lucky enough to experience a Grand Final, Challenge Cup Final and hit a huge milestone in my career, all whilst at this club.
“I want to thank all the staff for their hard work and support, the fans for their love and the boys for always making it feel like home. My family and I have created some lifelong friendships and Salford will forever hold a place in our hearts.”
Director of rugby and operations Ian Blease added: “Tui has been exceptional during the two years he was a Red Devil, playing a massive role in helping the club achieve back-to-back major final appearances.
“He came to us during a tough time in his career, but has shone throughout his stint with us and it’s safe to say his game has definitely improved.
“We wish Tui and his family all the best for the future.”
