Some trademark dummy-half magic from Joe Mellor has scooped our final Try of the Month award of 2024.
September’s edition had some fine efforts to choose from; including a 70 metre intercept from Tim Lafai and a neat team move, finished by Kallum Watkins.
But, as we’ve seen all season, Mellor can unlock a defensive line with something that looks so simple in its execution, but genius in its making.
That was no different against Catalans Dragons, where he took advantage of a strong carry from Ryan Brierley to catch the line off guard and stroll under the sticks.
