New signing, Joe Shorrocks was ‘over the moon’ to finally confirm his transfer to Salford Red Devils.
The utility forward has penned a three-year deal and linked-up with his new teammates this morning for pre-season training.
At just 23, Shorrocks has already made 69 Betfred Super League appearances, but he is determined to boost them numbers by securing a regular spot in the team.
With a Super League and Challenge Cup winners medal already in his locker, Wigan-born Shorrocks knows exactly what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Making the switch to Salford allows him to share that experience with a dressing room who are desperate to achieve silverware in 2024.
“Over the moon,” he exclusively told our YouTube channel when asked about to describe how it feels to complete a transfer.
“I’m happy to finally get the move done and I’m just fully focused on starting pre-season now with the boys, and getting ripped-in.”

With a year still remaining on his Warriors deal, Shorrocks was at a crossroads, but a conversation with our Head Coach and Director of Rugby, firmly made up his mind.
“Well I had a lot of conversations with friends, family,” he continued.
“This is the right move for me; hopefully to get some more playing time, but when I met with Rowls and Bleasy, that really confirmed my decision to join.”
A lot of players have credited Rowley with their rapid improvement since joining the club.
Shorrocks’ ex-Wigan and now Salford teammate, Oliver Partington is another example of that – so he will be hoping to follow closely in his footsteps.
With pre-season finally underway, Shorrocks will be looking to form new relationships in the team and work towards starting 2024 in the best way possible.
