Assistant Coach, Armani Sharrock says there were ‘plenty of positives’ from today’s pre-season friendly, despite defeat against Featherstone Rovers.
The girls were back in action at the home of Fryston Warriors, with a new-look team looking to dust off the cobwebs and form combinations ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign.
It was a physical battle in the middle, but Rovers struck three times on edges to secure the win. Despite the loss, Sharrock says there were good signs from the team as they rip into 2025.
She said: “We’ve come up against a Featherstone side who played Super League last year with a really big pack, a dominant pack and I thought our forwards stood up really well, and we played off the back of it.
“Loads of positives; new combinations which landed well and it’s just them little one percenters to finish them – but we’re in a really good place I think.”
