THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS

SCHOLARSHIP SQUAD NAMED FOR WARRINGTON OPENER

Our Scholarship team will kickstart their new campaign with a trip to Warrington Wolves tomorrow evening.

Alongside our Academy side, who will also play their first competitive game this weekend, the Scholars will be in action for the first time since the Club secured its license.

If supporters want to come down and back the team, the game is taking place at Victoria Park, Warrington (WA4 1AG) with kick-off scheduled at 7pm.

Ahead of the season, Head Coach, Jon Mann has said: “As we head into our first game of the season, I am genuinely proud of how far this group has come throughout pre-season.

“The players have shown real character, embracing the step up from a community club environment to an elite player mentality.

“It’s been about adjusting standards, raising expectations and building a mindset that reflects what it means to represent Salford Red Devils at this level.

“We’ve worked hard on developing not just their technical abilities, but also their resilience, discipline and commitment to each other as a team.

“It’s a big challenge facing seasoned scholarship players, but the boys are ready to test themselves, learn from every experience and continue growing as both athletes and individuals.

“We’re excited for what lies ahead this season and I believe this group has the potential to surprise a few people with their determination and passion.”
