Salford Red Devils will be hosting a trial game on the 13th November for aspiring Reserve Team players to join our squad for the 2023 season.
This is something the club began last season, with a view to providing an opportunity for talented players to put themselves forward for consideration for the Reserve Team squad. The 2022 campaign saw significant progress for the Salford Red Devils Reserve Team – both with our results and the individual player development.
Six of our Reserve Team squad – who were identified through the 2022 season trial – made their Super League debuts in our game against Warrington.
This is in addition to a number of other Reserve Team players who were invited to train with the first-team during the year. We are now looking for players who have the talent and desire to be part of this journey in 2023.
Stuart Wilkinson, Reserve Team Head Coach, said: “ Salford Red Devils Reserve Team is a first rate facility. We look to encourage creative brilliance in young players, foster an environment where they can thrive and become self determined independent thinkers.
“The coaches then step out of the way and let their progress happen. The staff are immensely skilled, experienced and highly qualified talent development professionals who know the pain of wasting talent.
“Our Reserve Team approach is to encourage creativity to maximise the use of a young players drive and empowers them with a means to shine.”
We are currently only looking for players who have experience at one or more of the following levels:
- International experience at one of these levels – Academy, Young Lions, Community Lions, other Home Nations or Student.
- National Conference League – Premier or Division one
- County Representative Level
If you meet one or more of the above criteria, please complete all of the information in the link below.
