It’s the warm-up to the main act – Salford Red Devils travel to St Helens this Saturday in their only pre-season friendly of 2025.
Head Coach, Paul Rowley has named a squad of 23 players, all who have the opportunity to shake their off-season cobwebs with some match action.
There were some memorable moments against the Saints in 2024, most notably Deon Cross’ 78th minute winner in Salford’s incredible second-half comeback, early in the season.
It will be a good chance for the Reds to size-up their opposition, with a return trip in a fortnight’s time on the cards in our blockbuster Betfred Super League opener.
It’s also the first chance for supporters to catch a glimpse of some of our new signings in action; including Esan Marsters, Chris Hill and Justin Sangaré
This fixture will also celebrate the illustrious career of Saints’ Morgan Knowles, who has made 218 appearances in the Red V over his ten-year stint.
