Salford Red Devils will play host to the latest Learning Disability Super League festival tomorrow.
Hosted by the Salford Red Devils Foundation, six teams will be taking part on the 4G pitch directly next to the Salford Community Stadium, with the first game set to get underway at 12pm.
St Helens, Warrington Wolves, Wigan Warriors, Barrow Raiders, Widnes Vikings and – of course – Salford Red Devils will play a round of friendly games against one-another.
LDSL festivals – organised by the RFL in association with Community Integrated Care – are a special showcase of the pioneering programme that is leading the way in learning disability sport.
It provides a welcoming playing experience for clubs across their respective regions to come together, catch up with friends and celebrate their successes.
Members of Community Integrated Care were also invited down to today’s Captain’s Run to meet-and-greet with the players and watch Paul Rowley’s side prepare to take on Castleford Tigers.
They will also be in attendance at tomorrow’s game, with all teams involved in the festival partaking in a half-time pitch parade – so make sure to stay in your seats and give them a standing ovation.
From the excitement of an incredible World Cup, Wheelchair Rugby League is booming and you have the chance to try it out for yourself.
There will be wheelchairs set-up on the stadium forecourt tomorrow, so come down and see if you have what it takes to join Salford’s growing team.
