After a long, demanding season, Paul Rowley’s side have secured a place in the top six and are now just two wins away from a date at Old Trafford.
It was confirmed this afternoon with our 4-58 victory over Hull FC at the MKM, where Tim Lafai’s hat-trick was the highlight of an emphatic team performance.
That, in tandem with results Friday night means no team outside the current top six can catch the Red Devils with one regular season game remaining.
Our opponents, date or venue for next weekend’s match is not confirmed at present, but more details will be communicated to supporters as soon as possible.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Paul Rowley has said: “It’s fulfilling as a Club, as a group it’s rewarding.
“It’s obviously nice to sit here with a game to go knowing that you’re in the top six; that’s what we play the game for, that’s what we’re here for.
“So there’s a box ticked and it’s bought us a ticket hasn’t it – we’ve just got to cash in now.”
