This mixture of talent includes nine players from our local Community Clubs, three from South Wales and three from Cumbria – as well as eight players who have progressed through our Development Academy.
A large amount of the talent have also already played for the Club through our innovative REDS programme, prior to receiving the license.
On our 2025 squad, Head of Youth, Mark Moran has said: “All of the players have worked extremely hard through an intensive series of trials to earn selection for our newly formed Academy squad.
“We are incredibly proud that the core of this squad comes from our local Salford community clubs, reflecting the hard work of both the players and their community coaches.
“In addition, our scouting team has also done a tremendous job identifying talent from across Cumbria and South Wales, ensuring we bring together the best possible squad.
“The quality of the squad reflects the investment over the last four years into our REDS development programme, which has provided a clear pathway for young players to develop their skills and achieve their potential.
“We look forward to seeing their progress this season.”
