Salford Red Devils are partnering with Swiss-based Sports Tech company Blocksport in a three -year partnership that aims to develop new digital ways for fans to be more involved with the club.
The Red Devils will launch an interactive Fan App to provide new levels of digital engagement. Fans can look forward to engaging with unique gamification features like fan voting, chats, predictions, and a fan rating system. The Fan App will aim to be launched in Q1 2022.
The partnership will then extend to the launch of a Fan Token and NFTs as the Red Devils work with Blocksport to evaluate and enter the world of blockchain technologies. These initiatives will seek to enhance the current fan engagement experience, whilst also helping the club to reach new fans through the use of technology and digital communities.
The co-operation will see the creation of a content thread helping fans to understand the uses of blockchain technology, and in particular the Fan Token and NFT offering that will be created to support and enhance a new digital engagement ecosystem, underpinned by the new Fan App.
