A few months ago, Salford Youth Zone (SYZ) launched a competition for young people to design a warm-up tee for the team to wear before our meeting with the Wigan Warriors on Friday, May 30th.
After being inundated with submissions, they were whittled down to a final three and a winner has now been chosen – the design by brother and sister duo, Jess and Sam Henn.
The design features the Y on the SYZ logo and its pattern is complete with the colours of the organisation’s logo, green, yellow and white.
SYZ is a registered charity established in 2023, and is set to open its doors in 2025.
They will open 7 days a week, offering over 20 activities every night for just 50p per visit, providing thousands of young people somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to talk to.
They are dedicated to providing opportunities and experiences to all local young people. Making the world of possibilities a little wider, our charity offers young people the opportunity to make new friends, develop new skills and unlock their full potential.
