ROWLEY WARY OF ‘PHYSICAL’ CATALANS SIDE AHEAD OF CUP QUARTER-FINAL

Head Coach, Paul Rowley is wary of the physical test of facing his team when they make the trip to Catalans Dragons this Friday.

The Reds head to the South of France in the Betfred Challenge Cup quarter-finals, looking to take another step closer to a spot at Wembley Stadium.

Packed with both local and oversee’s talent, the Dragons side will be our toughest test of the competition so far, and our Head Coach has paid credit to the squad his opposite number has built in Perpignan.

“They’ve been a consistently top team for many, many years now. I think Steve McNamara has done a fantastic job since he took the reigns there,” he began.

“As ever, they’re very big, physical, a lot of offloads in there and they dominant territory and possession on most games that I’ve seen them play.

“Certainly in Catalans, (they have) a vociferous and passionate support group, so it’s an almighty challenge.”
