THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS

ROWLEY WARY OF BRADFORD’S QUALITY AHEAD OF CHALLENGE CUP TIE

Head Coach, Paul Rowley is wary of the threat Championship outfit, Bradford Bulls will bring to this Friday’s Betfred Challenge Cup tie.

It’s perhaps even more pertinent considering they have already pulled off one ‘giant killing’ in 2025, knocking Castleford Tigers out of the competition in round three.

Speaking on his 50th birthday, our Head Coach responded to a question about the experienced heads in the Bulls’ dressing room.

“No, definitely not and they beat Castleford, didn’t they the other week, so they’re definitely a capable side, that’s never going to be in question. I would suspect not many of their side have not played in Super League, and played in Super League recently.

“We’re at home though and we would expect to put our best foot forward. We understand the challenges we’ve got and understand what sort of a Bradford team we’ll be facing, and what sort of emotion, and enthusiasm that they’ll bring – as well as the quality they’ve got.

“So we’ve got to match that and I spoke a lot about that against Castleford, making sure that we were connected and had energy.

“And whilst we weren’t polished, if we can show the same commitment and a be a little bit more polished than we were last week, we’re a good side.”
