Head Coach, Paul Rowley says our ‘fragile defence’ was a major reason behind our heavy defeat to Hull KR in Round 3.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, he said: “The foundation for any game has got to start with your defence and I just thought we were very fragile in defence. I’m putting it very mildly.
“Very fragile in defence and that reflects in your offence. There were a lot of errors there and it comes from D, I just thought for our appetite and commitment to defend was a million, million miles off where it needs to be, at any level – it wasn’t even Championship standard.
“We’re very much in the trenches in the early part of the season and to get out the trenches you need to stick together, that’s what we intend on doing.
“There was a lot of people looking for answers out there on the pitch, but the only one place everybody out there including the coaches, myself, every person from top to bottom is themselves and we’ll do that, because we’re a pretty honest group.”
