THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS

ROWLEY PLEASED WITH PERFORMANCE IN GIANTS VICTORY

Head Coach, Paul Rowley was pleased with his side’s performance, as they picked up a valuable two competition points against Huddersfield Giants.

The Reds have won back-to-back games for the first time in 2025 and showed promising signs that key members of the spine are starting to form combinations.

Halfback, Jayden Nikorima, stole the show with a dazzling performance, but there were plenty of other candidates for Man of the Match.

Speaking post-match, Rowley said he was really pleased with what he saw from his team: “A bit like the pre-match interviews, I think it’s been a reflection of our week.

“Our week has been really good – relatively normal, and we’ve been able to concentrate on prepping in our detail, and making sure the facets of our game are up to scratch, and our standards are at the level we expect them to be at.

“I think the consistency of the week transferred into the performance – and the performance was good. Whilst it’s about winning this game, to us the performance was the main thing and the performance translated into a victory.

“I’m really pleased for everybody and when I say everybody, I mean the whole club; supporters, staff, backroom and players – it’s just really rewarding, but just nice to get some normality in the week and that’s what it ended up in.”
