RESERVES SQUAD NAMED FOR 2024

Head Coach, Stuart Wilkinson has named his Reserves squad for the 2024 season.

After a year of progression, a fresh-looking group will kick-off their league campaign with a tough trip to St Helens on Saturday afternoon.

Amongst the list are familiar faces like Alex Davidson, Charlie Glover and Finley Yates, while Leunbou Bardyel Wells has joined the club on a permanent basis after his impressive loan stint at the end of 2023.

With some eye-catching performances across last season, a lot of players have moved on in search of regular first-grade game time; including Jack Stevens at Swinton Lions and Matty Rudd at Rochdale Hornets.

Discussing his squad for the new campaign, Head Coach, Stuart Wilkinson has said: “After losing 20 players from last season – not forgetting the 14 that moved on the season before to Championship & League 1 clubs – we are finally at a good number.

“These include a number of players that have chosen to join Salford because of the reputation we’ve developed for helping players progress into good professionals.

“It is rewarding to see a couple of lads getting a chance to training with the first team squad (Nathan & Jamie) along with Josh Rourke signing for London.

“Our only hope is that we continue to provide similar opportunities with this current bunch.”

If supporters wish to attend this weekend’s game, it will be taking place at Thatto Heath, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
