We are excited to welcome the additions of Beth Hayes and Emma Dwyer to our women’s team.
The pair will add a lot of quality and experience to our squad as we attack the next block of fixtures in the Women’s Championship, looking to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Hayes began her rugby league career at junior side, Hindley at just age five, before representing Wigan St Judes, Orrell St James and Wigan St Pats.
The natural loose-forward was then picked up by the current Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup holders, Wigan Warriors, where she played for five years, before moving to the Swinton Lionesses in 2025.
She has also enjoyed international experience with England Students and was part of the first ever DiSE cohort.
On signing for the Reds, Hayes said: “I’m really excited to be here, I know a lot of the girls already as I’ve played with them in different teams.
“The training has been great so far, and I’m really enjoying getting stuck in and getting to know all the girls and the coaching staff – they have all been so welcoming.”
Also joining the team is versatile #9, Emma Dwyer, who similarly began her rugby journey at Hindley and went on to represent Westhoughton.
Like Hayes, Dwyer was scouted by Wigan Warriors in 2018 and enjoyed seven successful years at the Cherry & White’s before moving on to Swinton Lionesses, ahead of the 2025 season.
After a few weeks of training in our Reserves set-up, she has now become a fully fledged member of Mike Grady’s first-team, and will look to earn her spot in the team going forward.
On linking-up with the team in recent weeks, Dwyer said: “I’m really excited to be part of the squad, it’s a great group and I can’t wait to play!”
Head Coach, Mike Grady has added: “I’m very pleased to welcome both Beth and Emma to Salford. Both will bring some valuable experience to the squad, having been at Wigan and then Swinton.
“They have settled in really well around the squad, and we look forward to working with them.”
Everyone at the Club is excited to welcome Beth and Emma to the squad and can’t wait to see them pull on the red shirt very soon!
