The Salford Red Devils will continue their preparations with pre-season friendlies away to the Rochdale Hornets on the 15th January and Halifax RLFC on the 22nd January.
The game against Halifax will see the return the of the Colin Dixon Memorial Trophy, which is played for in memory of the Wales and Great Britain star, who played almost 700 games for both clubs between 1961 and 1980.
Head Coach Ian Watson is pleased to have these games arranged ahead of the 2017 season, he said;
“These games will give the squad a good test ahead of the Super League season, and will be chance for us to put what we’ve been focusing on in pre-season in practice.”
