THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS
Ryan Brierley joined his boyhood team, Salford Red Devils from the then-Leigh Centurions in 2022.
In 2009, Ryan progressed through the Castleford Tigers Academy before joining Leigh in 2012. He made his debut for the Centurions on 7th January 2012 and scored two tries against his present club. Brierley was Leigh’s top try scorer for four consecutive seasons, from 2012 to 2015.
In 2016, the fullback joined Huddersfield Giants on a four-and-a-half-year deal, which he only made a one-year stint at the club before leaving.
Ryan then had spells with Toronto Wolfpack and Hull KR before re-joining Leigh for the 2021 season.
On 20th September 2021, Brierley eventually signed for Salford for the 2022 season – the club he supported as a child, and regularly watched games at the Willows with friends and family.
Brierley has made 77 appearances for the Reds, signing a new three-year deal with the club just over a year ago that keeps him in red & white until 2026.
Although born in England, Brierley qualifies to play for Scotland at international level. He made his Scotland debut in 2016 in the Four Nations and scored a try in a defeat against Australia.
