Head Coach, Paul Rowley has named a 21-man squad for this weekend’s Betfred Challenge Cup action.
Round 6 has pitted Salford Red Devils against last year’s finalists’ Hull KR, in a Friday night extravaganza at Sewell Group Craven Park.
After already downing the Robins once this season, Salford will be looking for a repeat performance, with Willie Peters’ side out for revenge.
SQUAD NEWS
There are three returnees to the 21-man squad who will travel to Craven Park.
Cade Cust – after colliding with Saints’ Morgan Knowles – failed a HIA in Round 4 and subsequently missed our Round 5 clash with his old club, Wigan Warriors.
After following strict concussion protocols, the halfback returns to the fold in a competition he won back in 2022.
Also back in the 21-man for the first time since our opening fixture of 2024, is Ollie Partington, who has recovered from an ankle injury suffered in training.
Joe Mellor’s inclusion will also be a welcome sight to Red Devils’ supporters.
The versatile halfback has been out of action with a muscle injury, but he is now working his way back to full fitness and looking to make his Salford debut.
