News: Todd Carney visa approved

Salford Red Devils are pleased to confirm that new signing Todd Carney has had his visa application approved over night.

The Red Devils announced the signing of Carney on a one year contract in January, and the former State of Origin Utility-Back will now be linking up with his new team mates as the Red Devils continue their Betfred Super League campaign.

Upon securing the signing of Carney, Red Devils Head Coach Ian Watson was looking forward to seeing Carney in a Red shirt, he said;

“It’s a quality signing for us that gives us real competition for places across the board now. Todd is able to play in all the positions along the spine of the team. Speaking to Todd over the Christmas period, I know how excited he is to come across and perform for the Club.”

Salford Red Devils are also pleased to announce that Todd will be proudly sponsored by Prowood Ltd for the 2017 season.

Red Devils CEO Ian Blease is excited by the prospect of having Todd at the club, he said; “We all know that Todd has fantastic ability and he can really contribute to our side this season. I’d like to thank Peter Burns from Prowood ltd for sponsoring Todd for this season and for his continued support of the Red Devils.”
