News: Hauraki injury not as bad as first feared

Following a scan, it has been confirmed that Weller Hauraki will be out of action for up to six weeks with a foot injury, sustained In the win against Hull FC on Sunday.

It had been feared that the injury would keep Hauraki out on a more long term basis, but the scans reveal it will a relatively short recovery time.

Hauraki  joins Josh Jones and Ben Murdoch-Masila on the injury list, but Ian Watson is positive that the there is adequate cover within the squad;

We are a tight-knit squad and all it means is that there is now a chance for somebody to step in and prove themselves. This is what we are looking for the lads to do. There is a starting spot free and a now is the chance for someone to take it.”
