Youngster, Kai Morgan says he is working patiently alongside who he believes is the ‘best halfback in the game’, Marc Sneyd.
The natural halfback bagged a brace at hooker this afternoon, as Salford Red Devils got 2025 off to a winning start in Morgan Knowles’ testimonial.
Both efforts showed signs of the 20-year-old’s growing intelligence; one a dart from dummy-half and the other latching onto Sneyd’s neat grubber under the sticks.
There’s no surprise Morgan knew exactly what Sneyd was thinking, and credits the halfback as the perfect role model to master his craft.
“I think just be patient,” Morgan told RDTV when asked what he feels is the next stage of his development, “I’ve got probably, if not the best halfback in the game to work under.
“It’s nice having Sneydy around. Even if I end up at nine, again, I’ve got Joe Mellor who absolutely killed it last year.”
