Salford Red Devils will begin their Betfred Challenge Cup campaign with a trip to face Midlands Hurricanes in two weeks’ time.
The Birmingham-based side eased through to the third round with a 46-0 victory over Siddal ARLFC yesterday.
As revealed earlier this year, Paul Rowley’s side, alongside our fellow Betfred Super League clubs, were guaranteed to draw a lower league opposition away from home.
Competing in Betfred League One, the Hurricanes are the only elite professional rugby league club in the Midlands and will host the Reds at the Alexander Stadium.
They also recently appointed Huddersfield Giants legend, Eorl Crabtree as their new Managing Director, with big plans to become a ‘prominent force’ in rugby league.
Our meeting with the Hurricanes will take place over the weekend of February 7-9th, with confirmed fixture and ticketing information coming soon.
