THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS

MAY PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES REVEALED

It’s time to select May’s Player of the Month.

As the Reds continue to do it tough, standout individuals have bravely carried the team through a tough run of fixtures; including the two currently atop of the Betfred Super League, Hull KR and Wigan Warriors.

The results haven’t got Salford’s way, but the supporting faithful have continued to back the effort on display by the team in a difficult situation.

Across the four games, three individuals have been selected as candidates for our latest Player of the Month accolade.

Nominated for the third time is April’s winner, Jack Ormondroyd, who continues to set the standard and perform to an extraordinary level in the middle.

His leadership qualities have been crucial in tough scenarios, often playing long minutes against some of the best forwards in the league.

A new addition for 2025, Esan Marsters has been an ever-present in the team at centre, but also covered in the halves in recent weeks with the injury to Jayden Nikorima.

His running threat and ability to find a gap have created numerous big chances across May; perhaps none more so than the try scored by this month’s final nominee.

That being youngster, Nathan Connell, who got the try his performances had deserved against the Warriors, last time out.

A natural fullback, the Shevington Sharks product has taken his opportunity in the team with both hands and earned numerous plaudits from his Head Coach, and the supporters.
