Niall Evalds became Salford’s record Super League try-scorer, in the team’s impressive victory over London Broncos at Trailfinders Sports Ground.
Evalds’ try was one of four scored by the Red Devils in the first half, which set the foundation for their convincing win.
Lee Mossop also got over, on his return to action, and the visitors’ strong defence saw them keep their opponents out for 47 minutes.
Salford opened the scoring in the seventh minute, when Joey Lussick powered over from a short distance.
Then came the time for Evalds’ historic moment, as he cut through down the left to extend the lead and overtake Stuart Littler as the club’s record Super League try-scorer.

In the 25th minute, Dan Murray put the Red Devils further in front. Jackson Hastings found a gap in the Broncos defence and sent his teammate in beneath the sticks.
Hastings claimed the final try of the half for himself. He danced through with quick feet down the middle and Krisnan Inu continued his perfect success rate off the tee.
The Red Devils could have gone into the changing rooms even further in front, but were denied by the touch judge when Jack Bibby dived over in the corner.
Half time: London Broncos 0-24 Salford Red Devils
The Broncos hit-back after the break, as Rhys Williams found a way over down the left flank.
Evalds then looked to have claimed another to reassert his side’s dominance, but saw his try overruled for offside.
The Red Devils did find a way over in the 65th minute, as Lee Mossop showed his strength and rolled in the challenge to score.
Matt Fleming claimed another try for the hosts in the final 10 minutes, but by that stage the result was beyond doubt.
The Red Devils’ focus will now switch to Friday’s match against Leeds Rhinos at the The Salford Stadium.
Salford’s impressive form on the road will provide encouragement for the upcoming month, where they will travel to Liverpool to face Hull Kingston Rovers at Magic Weekend.
The deadline for Red Devils season ticket holders to claim a 50% discount on Magic Weekend tickets is midnight on Tuesday. Click HERE for further details.
