Salford Red Devils travel to the John Smith’s Stadium for the second time in 2024, as the race for playoff rugby cranks up another notch.
Multiple teams are still in contention for a place in the top six, so every single point matters with just 10 games of the regular season remaining.
Paul Rowley’s side will take confidence from our previous meeting with the Giants – a 16-18 victory at the JSS, with Nene Macdonald bagging a brace and Ethan Ryan finishing off a fine team move.
Here’s everything you need to know before this one:

SQUAD NEWS
Loan signing, Joe Bullock is thrown straight into the mix after training with his new teammates for the first time yesterday morning.
The prop has joined the Club from Warrington Wolves for the remainder of 2024 and will be wearing squad number 31 if selected this Friday.
Loghan Lewis suffered a head knock early into last Saturday’s game, so will sit out this one due to concussion protocols.
There’s also a return for halfback, Cade Cust after a lengthy lay-off.
LAST TIME OUT
With the Giants being one of our loop fixtures, we have actually already made a trip to the John Smith’s in 2024, back in Round 10.
The Red Devils started the contest on the front foot, but it was actually a moment of magic 70 metres from the Huddersfield try line that opened the scoring.
Jake Connor attempted a cut-out pass and Nene Macdonald – with one hand – produced a stunning interception and raced downfield to the jubilant away end.
If you thought that try was good, what followed was even better.
Sneyd, Partington, Watkins, Atkin, Macdonald and then Ryan were all involved in a spectacular team move, from inside our own half, which saw the winger cross to double our lead.
Star centre, Macdonald was on the act again early into the second forty, crashing past the defensive line to score a try which ultimately won the contest.
A late Giants fightback threatened to derail an all-round fantastic performance, but the team held on to claim a vital two points.
