MARSTERS WARY OF KR’S STRIKE AHEAD OF THURSDAY’S SHOWDOWN

Star centre, Esan Marsters is wary of Hull KR’s strike power ahead of Thursday’s showdown at Sewell Group Craven Park.

The Robins, fresh from a year in which they reached the Betfred Super League Grand Final, have started 2025 with two wins from two.

It’s another tough task for the Reds, who have had a short turnaround from their last outing – a 6-32 defeat to Leeds Rhinos at the Salford Community Stadium.

With salary cap restrictions lifted earlier last week, it was our first grade’s first real hit-out of the season, so some in-game rustiness may have hampered some aspects of the performance.

Speaking to our YouTube channel before tomorrow’s game with KR, Marsters has pinpointed areas for improvement that the team have analysed this week.

“I think we just need to complete high, hold onto the ball and defend well,” he began.

“Rowls touched on it after the game that a lot of the games are slower these days, so I think the physical battle will come to shine. I think for us we need our physical hat on a put on a good performance for the fans.”

On the Robins’ specific threats, he continued: “They’ve got strike all over the park. I think we’re just preparing as best as they can. I know they’ve got a few injuries at the moment, but they’re a strong team, they’re a team who are willing to go for the whole 80.

“For us, like I said, it’s just about matching that physicality and if we can go out their and do that for 80 minutes, it’ll be good for us.”
