Hull Kingston Rovers forward Ryan Lannon has returned to Salford Red Devils in a month’s loan swap deal which sees Daniel Murray go in the opposite direction.
Lannon, who came through the ranks at Salford, will be available for selection in Friday night’s match against Castleford Tigers at the The Salford Stadium.
Red Devils head coach Ian Watson said: “Ryan knows about our club and what we expect and he’s also a very good player, who we didn’t really want to lose.
“He’s ready to come back here. He wants to come back and he wants to put his best performances out on show at Salford, because he feels this is where he was playing his best rugby.
“The fact that he plays second-row and middle gives us options too.”
He added: “Dan’s lost his place in our team and we need him to get some more game time and work on a few things that we want him to be better at, to get into our first team.
“The fact that there’s another Super League team who want him keeps him developing at the right level for us.”
Lannon made over 50 appearances at senior level for the Red Devils.
The former Salford academy captain is set to add to that on Friday night, when Salford host Castleford Tigers at the The Salford Stadium.
