KRISNAN INU PENS FIVE-YEAR DEAL

We are delighted to reveal Krisnan Inu has penned a new five-year deal as part of the coaching team.

Since stepping into his first off-field role in late-2022, the 37-year-old has worked closely with Paul Rowley and Kurt Haggerty, forming part of a formidable trio.

He has also constantly been mentioned by new signings as a major reason for choosing Salford, a further nod to his standing on both sides of the rugby league world.

Prior to his two years as Assistant Coach – during his illustrious playing career – Inu made 53 appearances as a Red Devil, scoring 24 tries and converting 195 goals.

His reliable right boot was a major contributor to Salford reaching the Betfred Super League Grand Final in 2019 and the Challenge Cup Final in 2020.

In Australia, he represented the Parramatta Eels, New Zealand Warriors and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, making 150 NRL appearances.

Inu then played for Catalans Dragons and Widnes Vikings, before joining Salford. After his two years at the Club, he enjoyed a successful season at Leigh Centurions (now Leopards), helping them achieve promotion back to Super League.

Now a well-respected member of our coaching staff, Inu will continue to pass on his vast knowledge and experience of rugby league to help the team achieve success.

On extending his stay at the Red Devils, Krisnan has said: “Happy to have inked a deal to stay.

“Linking up with Paul & Kurt played a key role in making my decision, and keeping this coaching team together was an easy yes.

“Thank you to those involved, especially my wife Camille who continues to let me continue my dream of staying in the game, from playing to coaching.”

Managing Director, Paul King has also said: “Krisnan has been a fantastic servant to the Club and I am delighted that he has chosen to remain with us for the long-term.

“He has brought experience from both sides of the world to our dressing room and is a well-respected figure amongst his peers, and the wider rugby world.

“He is a crucial member of our coaching team, and I am looking forward to what they can achieve together this season, and beyond!”
