Leeds Rhinos Director of Rugby Kevin Sinfield admitted his side were outplayed by the Red Devils and pointed to halfback duo Jackson Hastings and Rob Lui as the reasons why.
Hastings featured for the opening twenty minutes scoring and creating a try while Lui also crossed and racked up four try-assists in a great attacking display from Ian Watson’s men.
Sinfield said regarding his sides performance: “Clearly not good enough, clearly outplayed by twelve men.
He added: “I thought [Jackson] Hastings had a great first twenty minutes and he won the game for Salford.
“On the back of that [Rob] Lui just kicked the ball out, slowed the game down, managed the game and unfortunately we’re not capable of dealing with that at this moment in time.”
