Jamie Pye has joined Barrow Raiders on a season-long loan.
In early July, the prop forward signed a one-year professional contract with Salford Red Devils after spending the entirety of 2024 training with the first-grade squad.
Pye’s application was certainly admired by the coaching staff, who handed the ex-England Academy prospect his Betfred Super League debut.
Despite defeat against World Champions, Wigan Warriors, the 22-year-old was certainly a standout performer for Paul Rowley’s side – earning particular praise from our Head Coach in his post-match press conference.
After spending the pre-Christmas period with the Salford squad, Pye will now head to Cumbria and spend the rest of 2025 with his Raiders’ teammates.
It’s a place where Pye spent a short spell on loan last season, scoring his first senior try against French outfit, Toulouse Olympique, crashing onto a short ball.
Returning to Craven Park will allow the youngster to enjoy regular game time in a competitive environment, as Barrow look to attack another Betfred Championship campaign.
They begin with the visit of Hunslet on Sunday 16th February.
