THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS

GIL DUDSON, CHARLIE GLOVER AND JOE COOPE-FRANKLIN SELECTED IN WALES’ EXTENDED SQUAD

We are delighted to confirm Gil Dudson, Charlie Glover and Joe Coope-Franklin have been selected for the extended Wales squad.

The trio will link up with their international teammates ahead of October’s fixtures, which include a home clash with Jamaica and a World Cup qualifier with Serbia in Carcassonne.

A third game, also in France at the Stade Gilbert Brutus will follow on October 26 – but an opponent is yet to be confirmed.

Since returning to the Club on loan from Warrington Wolves, Dudson has reminded the supporters just why he became so popular during his first stint.

He has contributed hugely to our fourth-place finish and will no doubt have a big part to play in our upcoming playoff eliminator against Leigh Leopards.

Glover only made his first senior appearance in last week’s Round 27 clash with Wigan Warriors, but has been around the Reserves set-up for a while.

A tough but skilful middle, Glover impressed a lot of people with his positive Super League debut and will now get his chance to shine on the international stage.

Finally, Coope-Franklin is the third Red Devil to receive a call-up. He has played predominantly on the wing for Stuart Wilkinson’s Reserves this season, but his versatility will no doubt be a huge bonus to his country this October.

A huge congratulations to Gil, Charlie and Joe on their well-deserved inclusions.
