We are delighted to confirm four of our women’s team players have been selected for international duty with Scotland RL.
The newest Women’s Squad implementation has taken place over a period of 16-weeks, with a new Coaching Structure and selection of a training squad, with a mixture of players from across many of the Women’s Leagues in the UK and France.
Scotland Women will meet up for their first training session on Saturday 24th May as they start preparations as a National side, with upcoming fixtures to be announced in due course.
Centre, Alex Simpson, who had enjoyed an outstanding start to the season, is our first inclusion. Her five tries at the start of 2025 takes her total tally in red and white to 45.
Another stalwart of the team, Steph Gray has also been called up to represent the Bravehearts. After battling back from a long-term injury, the back-rower has reminded us all of her quality with some consistent performances in our first few games.
Two new members of the team have also been selected – Liv Barnard and Jazz Mason. Both have been strong additions to the squad and will certainly add quality at international level.
A huge congratulations to all four girls on their call-ups!
