Esan Marsters and Chris Hill are amongst four new signings involved in this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against St Helens.
This afternoon will celebrate the career of Saints legend, Morgan Knowles, who has been granted his testimonial year in recognition of his stellar career in the Red V.
It is also the first chance Paul Rowley will have to assess his squad in a full 80 minute capacity, as two full strength sides go toe-to-toe.
This, of course is only the prequel to our Round 1 meeting in two weeks’ time and a good chance for both teams to size each other up.
In the red corner, Esan Marsters and Chris Hill make their Red Devils’ debuts from the start, with Justin Sangaré and Joe Bullock set to feature from the interchange bench.
In the absence of Sam Stone, fellow Aussie, Shane Wright is paired with captain, Kallum Watkins in the back row.
