Halfback, Louise Fellingham and Head Coach, Mike Grady have both shared their delight in reaching the Challenge Shield semi-finals.
On a red-hot day at the Salford Community Stadium, the girls ran in ten brilliant tries to book a date with Hull FC next Sunday.
Anna Dennis was at her electric best again, scoring a hat-trick, with Lauren Ellison also impressing with a brace – securing the Player of the Match.
Centre, Alex Simpson and back-rower, Jadine McVernon also helped themselves to two tries apiece, with Holly Waddington also crossing for the first time in Salford colours.
Speaking after the game, halfback, Louise Fellingham gave her initial reaction to reaching the semi-finals: “It feels great. Any chance you get to reach a semi-final you’ve got to do your damnedest to get there.
“There’s still things to fix up, I don’t think it was a perfect performance by any means, but I think there were times where they came at us and we just soaked it up – it was brilliant!
Head Coach, Mike Grady shared that sentiment: “I really enjoyed it. A fantastic performance from the team, both individually and collectively,” he began.
“You just touched on it, to get the zero was fantastic following on from last week, so I couldn’t be more proud of the effort from all the players.”
