We can confirm Ethan Ryan has joined Oldham RLFC with immediate effect.
Renowned for his try-scoring ability, the 29-year-old joined the Reds in 2023 and became a big part of the side that finished fourth in last season’s Betfred Super League.
In his 31 appearances for Salford, the winger has scored nine tries, but his calmness under the high ball and strong carries out of backfield have made him a valuable option for Paul Rowley.
Penning his final message, Ryan said: “I just want to thank Salford for the past couple of years. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Coming here put a smile back on my face playing rugby.
“It’s really sad to see what’s happened this year, given the squad we had at the start. I’m really hoping all this mess manages to iron itself out and the club can progress moving forward.
“Thank you for making certainly last year one of the most enjoyable of my career.”
Everyone at the Club would like to thank Ethan for all his efforts in a red shirt and wishes him the best for his future career.
