It’s a double dose of rugby league action this Saturday.
With the race for playoff rugby about to reach its climax, our Round 23 clash with Huddersfield Giants will be the main event of two games at the Salford Community Stadium.
First up, Stuart Wilkinson’s Reserves will be taking on the Giants’ Reserves side at 2:30pm, looking to have a positive end to their 2024 campaign.
Last time out, a Charlie McCurrie double ended any hopes of a late Bradford Bulls comeback and secured a fourth league win at Bartercard Odsal.
We are excited to reveal that this fixture will also be live-streamed directly on our YouTube channel. Follow the action make sure you’re notified by subscribing here.
Then, from 5:30pm watch Paul Rowley’s Red Devils take on the Giants in a crunch Betfred Super League clash.
Back-to-back defeats against St Helens and Leigh Leopards mean the playoff race has got tighter, and every point from our last five brings added significance.
It’s also one apiece against this Saturday’s opponents in 2024, with our two meetings – both at the John Smith’s Stadium – producing excellent games.
There’s no doubt this weekend will be the same, and the Giants will come into the contest full of confidence after picking up a few hard-fought wins since the interim appointment of Luke Robinson.
As has been referenced by the players and coaching staff on multiple occasions, our supporters have been the extra-man in some tight contests throughout the season and that will be no different this Saturday.
