Salford Red Devils have signed 20-year old starlet Daniel Murray on a two-year deal.
Daniel, who was Warrington Wolves U19s Player of the Year in 2015, joins the Devils squad from next season.
Prop Daniel will join up with Ian Watson’s men for pre-season training in November and the Devils have high hopes for their new recruit.
Director of Rugby Tim Sheens said: “We are delighted to have got Daniel to the The Salford Stadium. He is a big, promising prop who fits the type of profile we are looking for and we are looking forward to working with him.
“He was successful at the Wolves in the junior ranks and his challenge now is to step up and prove his potential.”
Karl Fitzpatrick, Wolves’ head of rugby operations, said: “The fact that Dan has earned a full-time deal at a Super League club highlights the benefit of operating a reserve grade and how important it is in player development.
“When Dan exited the U19s academy he had no offer of full-time rugby, therefore using the reserve grade as a vehicle to develop and test himself against grown men has allowed him to progress his Super League career. We’d like to thank Dan for his contributions to the club and look forward to him finishing the season strong with ourselves.”
