The Salford Red Devils Foundation ran the Year 3 and Year 4 Sky Try Touch Festival earlier today and the afternoon was well attended by local schools.
Irlam Primary, one of the Salford Red Devils Foundation’s partner schools, overcame fourteen other teams to win the whole competition.
Irlam Primary went through the competition unbeaten not losing any of their seven outings. They even achieved a perfect defensive record not conceding a single try in any game – a huge feat.
The Salford Red Devils Foundation Category Three U19’s Academy game was unfortunately postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, but a handful of the team helped out at the festival and made sure the occasion was a success.
Salford Red Devils Foundation and the Club would like to thank all the schools for attending and the Academy players for joining in with the running of the event.
The schools who were attended are as follows:
Christchurch, Peel Hall, Summerville, Irlam Endowed, St Paul’s Neville Road, Broadoak, St Paul’s Heathside, St George’s, Moorside, James Brindley, Mesne Lea, Irlam Primary, Lewis Street, Lark Hill and Beech Street.
