Salford Red Devils are extremely disappointed that supporters will not be in attendance at the 2020 Coral Challenge Cup Final, as a result of the current Government restrictions.
This celebration will be an important event for our community and it is certain that the city will be cheering on the team from home.
The Club made a number of proposals to the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), to hold an alternative screening event for supporters, based at the The Salford Stadium. Each recognised the relevant social distancing guidelines, but unfortunately have been rejected.
Greater Manchester is currently under tighter restrictions than many other parts of the country and it is therefore our responsibility to abide by these decisions and act in the best interest of our community. Salford Red Devils ask that all supporters do the same and arrange to watch the final in a safe environment, obeying all Government guidelines.
The dedication of the Club’s supporters has been outstanding throughout this period and is highly appreciated by all players and staff. It will be an emotional day when we are all able to gather together at the The Salford Stadium once again.
