BRIERLEY HOPING TO MAKE 2025 ‘ONE TO REMEMBER’

Ryan Brierley is hoping to make 2025 ‘one to remember’ as the Betfred Super League season draws ever closer.

Our star fullback, alongside Head Coach, Paul Rowley, halfback, Jayden Nikorima and Club captain, Kallum Watkins completed a series of media duties at the Co-op live arena in Manchester.

A highlight of the afternoon was the player arrivals, with Super League stars dressed for the occasion; and our lads didn’t disappoint, looking slick in their t-shirt and blazer combo.

Speaking after the event, Brierley admitted he’s just ready to get into some action after a long, but enjoyable pre-season schedule.

He said: “Yeah, definitely. Especially when you have events like this. It’s pretty cool to come to and it looks like we’re doing it right, we’re doing it proper from the RFL’s point of view, and it’s really special to be a part of.

“I’ve actually really enjoyed the pre-season, I think it’s been a real good one for us as players. We’ve improved on a lot of stuff we did last year. Really exciting, really good to be at the conclusion of pre-season and heading into the season now.

“I think what you do get with our squad is we get bored of training, don’t we? So we just want to play games now, which is the best bit.

“We’ve got a lot of interesting characters in our team who prefer playing than training.”

In what was described as one of the biggest season launch’s in the competition now-30-year history, written and broadcast press were given exclusive access to some of the games biggest stars.

And it’s that word ‘stars’ that Brierley believes could be a big factor in driving more interest towards the sport going forward.

“Yeah, for sure. I think I’ve craved for a long time making players feel like superstars and today felt like the first day of that. We’re in a real good spot as a sport, as a team,” he continued.

“30 years of Super League is pretty special to be a part of and hopefully we can make it one to remember.”
