Salford Red Devils are delighted to announce that Second Row Forward Ben Murdoch-Masila has signed a new 3 year contract.
Murdoch-Masila joined the Red Devils for the 2016 season and has since firmly established himself as a fans favourite
Ben has been a key part of the Red Devils squad since joining the club, and Head Coach Ian Watson is pleased to see him commit to the club long term, he said;
“Ben has been exceptional for us since coming over from the NRL. He has continued to develop and grow as a player, so much so that he is now one of the first names on the team sheet.
I’m really pleased for Ben, he and his family made a big decision to move over here and they’ve really bought into the ethos of the club and are a fantastic example of the culture that we are working hard to embed here at the Red Devils.”
Red Devils CEO Ian Blease has been hard at work behind the scenes to secure this deal, and feels that Ben Murdoch-Masila is key piece of the long term plan, he said;
“We’ve been working a few weeks with his agent in Australia. Ben is the most exciting Back Row Forward in Super League at the moment, he’s the type of player that we need at the club, and the type of person that epitomises what we are about. We’re working on more contracts behind the scenes and hopefully will have more news soon.”
