We are delighted to reveal Ben Hellewell has penned a one-year contract extension.
The Scotland international has been a highly-valued member of the squad since making a permanent move to Salford Red Devils in 2023.
Hellewell initially impressed on a two-week loan from Featherstone Rovers in 2022 and went on to make 19 appearances across his debut season, scoring four tries.
The second-row forward has also featured internationally for Scotland on 22 occasions – including the 2022 Rugby League World Cup, in England.
A frustrating hand injury has so far disrupted his 2024 season, but he will no doubt play a big part in the run-in when he makes a full recovery.
On penning an extension, Hellewell has said: “I am really happy to have re-signed for the 2025 season.
“This season has been a challenging one for me personally due to multiple injuries and setbacks, so I can’t wait to get back.
“I have really enjoyed my time at the Club for the past two years, the lads are great, and the coaches are – in my opinion – the best in the league.
“The fans have been a big part of our success this year and we are capable of repaying them with a Grand Final win. The Club is on the rise, and I can’t wait to be a part of it next season!”
Head Coach, Paul Rowley has added: “I’m pleased Ben has extended his stay at Salford. He’s very versatile and therefore valuable member of the squad and works extremely hard with a team first mentality always.”
Everyone at Salford Red Devils would like to congratulate Ben on his new deal.
