‘Be a Red’ – Cared for Children

As we approach the first home game of the 2023 Betfred Super League season, we are delighted to announce the second strand of our ‘Be a Red’ programme.

This will see the club invite every Cared for Child in the city of Salford, together with their families, to all of our home games during the 2023 Super League season.

This programme – which is part of the Building the Future strategy – will inspire the young people from across Salford by experiencing live, elite sport – whilst seeing the opportunities open to them within their city.

Rebekah Tucker, Head of Service Integrated Cared For Children’s Services, has said: “Salford Children’s Services are delighted to be involved with this initiative, which will afford our cared for children amazing experiences and opportunities within their City, inspiring and shaping their future aspirations.”

Paul Trainor, Salford Red Devils Director, added: “As a club, we are proud to be at the heart of our community within the city of Salford.

“The “Be a Red” programme will support the work of our Building the Future strategy to raise aspirations of young people, whilst developing pride in their city.”
