APPLAUSE TO BE HELD IN MEMORY OF CADISHEAD PLAYER

Salford Red Devils will hold a minute’s applause in memory of Cadishead Rhinos player Petro Dixon, ahead of the club’s Super League match against Huddersfield Giants on Thursday 4th July.
Everyone at Salford Red Devils would like to send their condolences to the family and friends of Petro and were saddened to hear of the 10-year-old’s tragic passing.
He died in hospital on Sunday, June 23, after a freak accident which occurred at the end of a Cadishead u12s game on Saturday, June 22.
No blame is apportioned and everything was done to save Petro, who had an undiagnosed brain condition.
The Rugby League Benevolent Fund has supported the family, and also the Cadishead club, who are one of Salford Red Devils Foundation’s community clubs.
Salford Red Devils supporters are urged to donate to the Just Giving Fund, which has been set up to assist Petro’s family. Click HERE for more information.
